Forest Horne Accepted Into American Board of Trial Advocates
Partner Forest Horne has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. Members in this prestigious invitation-only group must have tried a minimum of ten civil jury trials to conclusion. More than 7,600 lawyers and judges are involved in ABOTA chapters in all 50 states.
“After more than 30 years of trying cases to jurors in our Carolina communities, first for the defense, and for the last 25 years for wrongfully injured folks that we represent at Martin & Jones, I am humbled and honored to have been nominated and selected by members of both the plaintiff and defense bar to become a member of ABOTA, Forest said. “The American Board of Trial Advocates is dedicated to preserving and promoting our constitutional right to a jury trial. Jury’s safeguard our liberties and sometimes are the only thing standing between justice and tyranny. It has been my experience that when people in the community agree to serve on a jury, they almost always do the right thing. No society has arrived at a better, fairer way to resolve disputes, than to entrust those matters to members of the community.”
